About

I'm a post-doctoral researcher in the MOD group of the mechanical engineering department at the KU Leuven. My research focusses on efficient modeling for (nonlinear) mechanical applications. These models are being applied both in forward simulation and inverse problems (like design optimization and state-estimation).

I completed my bachelor and master in Mechanical Engineering at the KU Leuven. I received my PhD on model reduction for flexible multibody simulation from the KU Leuven as well. During my PhD I spent six months at the LIM group from the University of A Coruna in Spain working on state/input/parameter estimation for mechanical systems. I also spent eight months at the Farhat Research Group at Stanford University during my post-doctoral scholarship, working on local model order reduction for (nonlinear) mechanical models.

In the near future I will host several of the research codes I am using on my Github. These codes should be sufficient to recreate the results from my (new) papers. This code can be reused and altered by anyone interested to do so (in exchange for a mere acknowledgement).
